Chapter 1 Names and Functions

Note: The bottom case is not securely held in the scanner case when the interface cable and its connector case cover are not

plugged into the case. If the bottom case comes off, fit it firmly in the scanner case again, and connect the interface cable and

then the connector cover over it.

Reading window

Barcode is placed at this

reading window.

LED indicator

Illuminates blue when

reading is complete.

Beep hole

The beeper sounds when the

scanner has read a barcode

successfully.

Case

・AT20B：Light gray

・AT21B：Black

Bottom Case

Trigger switch

Press this switch to start Barcode reading.

The following trigger switch operating modes

are available.

• Auto-off mode

• Momentary switching mode

（Reverse Type）

• Alternate switching mode

• Continuous reading mode 1

• Continuous reading mode 2

• Auto sensing mode

• Auto stand mode

(The factory default setting is

uto-off mode .)

Interface cable

There are two types of interface cables available.

- RS-232C interface cable

- USB interface cable
